Vicki Schneider, CHMM - Member | President | Principal Consultant
Vicki Schneider has over 25 years of experience in the environmental, health and safety (EHS) field. She has focused most of her career in corporate compliance and works with a variety of manufacturers to help them develop and implement their environmental and safety programs. Vicki emphasizes that environmental and safety programs should comply with EPA, OSHA, and state requirements, but they do not have to be over done or be overly cumbersome.
Vicki believes that understanding is a key factor in developing the foundation of effective programs. Understanding the intention of a regulation and its requirements facilitates the development of the policies and tasks needed to comply with the regulation but also to meet and serve the needs of the company, its employees, and the community. |
Vicki’s specialty is facilitating the understanding of the Process Safety Management(PSM) and Risk Management Planning (RMP) regulations. Vicki works with chemical production companies; food and beverage production and distribution facilities; and energy companies (ethanol production and generating stations).
Vicki has a Masters Degree in Hazardous Materials Management and is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM). |
Bill Schneider, CHMM - Vice President | Principal Consultant
Bill Schneider has over 30 years of experience with the development and implementation of environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs. During his career he has worked as an EHS Manager for two multinational companies, as an EHS consultant, and as a regulator with the Michigan DNR, Ohio EPA and Ohio BUSTR. His work has taken him to locations around the US, Canada, Mexico and Europe.
Bill believes that consultants should be advocates for their clients and that one size does not fit all when it comes to designing effective compliance solutions. At SRM we want to help you develop compliance programs that not only meet the intent of the regulations, but also fit into your operations instead of apart from them. When compliance elements are woven into operations they become part of the daily routine thereby reducing risk and costs of compliance. |
While in manufacturing, Bill became immersed in the company’s Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing programs where he became a Six Sigma Green Belt and a Lean/5S Auditor.
He helped develop the criteria that production departments followed to advance from one 5S achievement level to another and integrated safety criteria into the 5S audit protocol.
Bill has served clients engaged in durable goods manufacturing, chemical manufacturing, food & beverage, natural gas processing, chromium plating, composites manufacturing, remediation, electric power generation and research and development.
