The Trump administration has issued a memorandum that puts the brakes on recent safety and environmental rulemaking. The memo was issued last week and impacts pending regulations and rules that have been finalized but have not yet taken effect. Some rules of interest are EPA’s RMP and Hazardous Waste Generator Improvement rules, and OSHA’s Beryllium regulation. The memorandum puts a 60-day freeze on the effective dates, and administrative actions can eventually include further delaying or rescinding all or portions of the rules. We included highlights of some of these rules in this newsletter.
We will keep you updated on future actions and impacts over the coming weeks and months. Stay tuned!
